It all started a little over a year ago. If you asked Hunter, he’d say that through a mutual friend he already knew about Annie and was planning on introducing himself at church. If you asked Annie, it started when Hunter came up to her at their church’s “Friendsgiving” event, introduced himself, and left her *incredibly* disappointed by not asking for her number.

Fast forward a couple weeks later, when Hunter asked Annie for coffee, it was so evident after non stop conversation that this could be something super special. The fingerprints of God were all over that first coffee date. Annie was so drawn to the way his face lit up when he was speaking about God, and his relationship with Him. It was so evident that this was a man that led with his Spirit, heart, and kindness. Hunter’s first impression was that this girl definitely had a lot of energy, but the core of that was her love for her Heavenly Father as well. While the two were sitting at coffee that day, in awe of the story God had crafted for the other, God was crafting a story for the two of them- and this was just the beginning.

After that coffee, things went pretty fast. A few days later on December 13th (2023) they made their way to the Botanical Gardens, continuing to talk all things life, God, work, family, and friends. Fast forward a couple of months, Annie surprised Hunter with a birthday celebration date at the botanical gardens. They reflected on just how far they’d come- growing in their faith, relationship, and friendship. All of this leading to December 13th 2024, where Hunter dropped on one knee to give Annie one more surprise at the Botanical Gardens, to ask for forever.
